The combination of glacier, mountains and lake make the Zell am See-Kaprun region so unique. Only here in the region of Salzburg are the most beautiful parts of Austria so near to each other as in Zell am See-Kaprun.
Glaciers, mountains and lake – the Austrian year-round destination Zell am See-Kaprun unites all of the diversity of the Alps. In the unique natural paradise at the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park, athletes, active holidaymakers, families and those looking for rest and relaxation will find varied worlds of experiences year-round. This includes the crystal-clear Lake Zell, the local Schmittenhöhe mountain and the Kitzsteinhorn mountain with its attractions at 3000 metres above sea level.
Nearly 400 kilometres of hiking trails stretch over all altitudes – from the glacier to Lake Zell. Depending on your sporting ambition, you can reach the peaks on foot or with the gondola. Pleasure hikers are swept in comfort in exclusive Porsche Design gondolas from the valley to the 2,000 metre high Schmittenhöhe mountain. The local mountain of Zell am See is a type of “viewing platform” in the region of Salzburg. 360-degree panoramic view of thirty 3000 metre peaks!
Explore the environment in our carriage! We'd love to show you beautiful Kaprun and the medieval Kaprun Fortress. Just ask at reception.
Whether sporty with the mountain bike or leisurely with the family around Lake Zell: On the extensive 240 km cycling paths in the region and the total of 1300 kilometres in the region of Salzburg, everyone will find their favourite trail. And in the winter, there are the Tauern SPA Kaprun and the indoor pool in Zell as leisure options for swimming enthusiasts.
